Community Noise

Check out the list below for an event near you or sign up to our YEAH Aware campaign to stay in the loop with our monthly campaign emails.

On Friday the 30th of November between 7am and 9am the YEAH team will set up camp at Federation Square with our giant condom castle. We’ll be chatting to young people and passers by about making positive sexual health choices. Come on down for a spin of the ‘Wheely Sexy’ wheel to test your sexual health knowledge and pick up a couple of free condoms while you’re at it!

We’re also excited to announce that the lovely, generous people at Princess Sunday dance party are donating all door charge proceeds from their World AIDS Day Red event to YEAH. On the 2nd of December the event will feature DJ Chuck Love, so if you’re over 18 take your babein’ self down to the Prince Bandroom, Fitzroy Street, St Kilda. The Melbourne YEAH crew will be there handing out condoms and safe sex info and would love to have a boogie with you. It all starts happening at 9pm.

Agents of YEAH will be joining other South Australian health and community organisations for a number of information stalls on Friday the 30th of November.

One team will be heading to Rundle Mall and another to the Central Markets to share ACSA‘s (AIDS Council of South Australia) special World AIDS Day stalls. Get a piece of the action between 9am and 12pm while you do your morning shopping.

On Saturday night (Dec 1) Agents of YEAH will also be hitting the pavement outside Central Station to speak to young people on their way to a night out in the city, about sexual health. They’ll be there from about 8pm. Swing by and say hi!

If you’re going to be in Darwin on Saturday Dec 1, you really shouldn’t miss the World AIDS Day dance party at Throb. Hosted by NTAHC (Northern Territory AIDS and Hepatitis Council), the special special show kicks off at 10:30pm. YEAH’s NT stars will be on hand at the event for all your sexual health do’s and don’t’s and to hand out free safe sex packs. Don’t forget to RSVP to the event.

The Queensland Injectors Health Network (QuIHN) have invited the YEAH team in Brisbane to be part of their World AIDS Day event in Jeays Street Park in Bowen Hills on Friday the 30th between 10am and 3pm. Weatherman says it’s going to be 33 degrees on Friday so it’s a perfect time to hang out in the sun and get your annual sexual health fix.

If you’re not able to make it to any of these events, don’t despair, you can still be a part of the YEAH World AIDS Day celebrations!

Take part in our ‘World AIDS Day means to me…’ photo campaign and submit your message of support. It takes 2 minutes, and with a lot of entries, we know it’ll come up splendidly!
